Steep escarpments, ageing heritage buildings, bushfire-affected properties, and complex tourism infrastructure mean that traditional tape-measure surveys are often slow, unsafe, and inaccurate. 3D laser scanning has changed that completely. Using the FARO Focus laser scanner, entire buildings, bridges, and landscapes can be captured in hours rather than days, producing millimetre-accurate point clouds that represent the site exactly as it exists today — not how an old drawing says it should be.
